Rho has been funded by its Founders and through in-kind investments from DNA2.0 (Menlo Park, CA) and Serplus Technology (Belmont, CA).

Rho has also received a grant from the US Department of Energy (DoE) for the study of Rhoctane™, a high energy, high octane biofuel, in collaboration with the Advanced Biofuels Process Demonstration Unit (ABPDU, Emeryville, CA).

Rho is open to considering institutional investors or corporate partners who share its vision to make important high value aromatic molecules from renewable feedstock by using yeast fermentation technologies that are closely related to technologies used for the current production of bioethanol.
